Description

Another irc client. What makes the difference in this implementation is the capability for file browsing in mirce powered file servers.It can be usefull to people who search their music in various channels in irc. Apart from this (escaping the initial motivation for its creation) Ξirc has become a full featured irc client with various functions. A basic list of them is :

  • CTCP DCC CHAT PING GET
  • Channel list in mirc file format
  • Message Logging
  • Help messages in different places in engilsh and greek. It also provides the ability for internationalization of help messages thru a simple file. Anyone who wants can contribute
  • (De)coding of color codes / text formating
  • Self Update functionality
  • Plenty of customization

    Project status

    It is considered functional and development has ceased. it is also opensource and protected by GNU GPLv3 license. So anyone can modify the program according to his/her needs or reuse code as long as credits are retained and/or a reference to the original source is present.     Known Bugs

    A flicker of the open window tab bar when many windows are open. The reason it has not been fixed is that it hasn't been found a different tab bar implementation or a magic API that whould do the trick. If anyone finds it, he should mail me.
